Louisville almost beat Morehead State today. The Cardinals -- obviously nervous on the big stage of the NCAA Tournament -- fell behind early 15-2, but battled back to tie the game at 33 by halftime. In the 2d half, the Cardinals built up leads of as much as eight points, but they couldn't hang on and they fell to the OVC Champions.
Louisville fans have a lot to be proud of this year. Their team finished with record of 25-10, and they did reach the finals of the Big East tournament. It's just a shame they had to play another Kentucky team in the NCAA's.
Louisville becomes the fourth Kentucky D-I program to be eliminated from title competition; there are only two Kentucky teams still competing.
Morehead moves on to await the winner of Vanderbilt and Richmond. That game will take place in Denver on Saturday.
I tell you the Big East is just so dominant.
