Best of the 70's: Heroes by David Bowie

HeroesWhen you hear a song like "Heroes" and you remember this was recorded in 1977 you immediately know how influential this song and this album were on the alternative music scene of the 80's, think bands like The Psychadelic Furs and INXS.  Heroes followed on the heals of Low another groundbreaking album which saw him teaming up with Brian Eno.

Now me personally I'm not a huge David Bowie fan, but as a fan of that alternative stuff from the 80's I have an appreciation for what Bowie contributed.  This is also the guy who took Iggy Pop under his wing to create Lust For Life, so Bowie's influence over what would take place in the 80's is quite impressive.

If you want to hear some cutting edge music from the mid 70's then throw this on.  It wouldn't be bad to play as background music while playing electronic football.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad. This album currently sits at 76 on the Best of the 70's list.
