Best of the 70's: 2112 by Rush

2112I'm getting a bit worn out by all the prog rock on this list.  Funny thing is I think of Rush as an 80's band for some reason.  Anyhow 2112 is their early classic and there are many Rush fans who would say it is their best album.  The opening track is a 20 minute, mini opera about some futuristic stuff. 

i will say this about Rush and this album.  Of all the prog rock stuff I've heard it's obvious that these guys are the best musicians.  Doesn't mean they are the best songwriters though. 

There is no reason to play this album unless you like Rush.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.

    This clip and their SCTV appearance are my favorite Rush performances of all time.

    Yeah I really like Geddy Lee and I found this much more entertaining that all the bootleg performances of 2112.
