Album Review: Vol. 2: High and Inside by The Baseball Project

Vol. 2: High And InsideThe Baseball Project is the brain child of Scott McCaughey and Steve Wynn two musicians and two big baseball fans.  Way back in 1992 they started talking about the idea of making an album of all songs that revolved around baseball and that album came to life back in 2008.  This is their follow up and once again they've done a solid job of creating baseball influenced songs.

We've got a song dedicated to the season of 1976, a song about Carl Mays, a song about Ichiro, and plenty more.

There is no big hit song on this album but if you want to get ready for baseball season by geeking it up this would be a fun way to go.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.

  1. Matthew, what happened to those guys who were doing concept albums about each state in the Union?

  2. Oh that was a one man show, in fact I reviewed an album of his last year, Sufjan Stevens.

  3. But I didn't answer your question. He made one for Michigan and Illinois and then gave it up.
