I guess these guys are the modern day REO Speedwagon. It's adult soft rock at it's blandest. It's not that it's bad, but it's just not very good. In many ways it makes me think of a lot of the country music I've reviewed. The lyrics, the sound everything about this album is very formulaic sounding. It's just that these guys base their sound on pop/rock instead of country.
There is no moment or song on this album that stand out, all in all it's pretty forgettable. You could probably pick some stuff off of here to put on a run mix, or you could throw this album on while cooking dinner.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Matthew that this song is pretty bland.
