The opening track "Mi Declaracion" sets the tone for this album that these two jazz musicians never relinquish. It's a slow brooding song fronted by Cantuaria's smooth voice and expressive acoustic guitar, and backed by Frisell's quiet experimental electric guitar. Frisell does a brilliant job of layering in his sound to back Cantuaria.This album would be good for mood music to a Latin inspired dinner you cook for that girl who use to be your best friend.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
Dr. Anonymous is going to boil if you try to play this record when that woman comes over.
