This isn't a bad album, but there were some much better male R&B releases recently and so it pales a bit.
This is Miguel's first album and it's not a bad effort. He's a bit all over the place musically and lyrically, well let's just say he could grow as a lyricist.
You could easily pull some songs off of here for a workout mix, or I could see playing this for fun on a Saturday while running errands with friends.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
