Pennant Fever

Big game today, as Arsenal heads to Manchester United for one of the most important matches of the season. As Chelsea continues to fade (they missed a penalty yesterday and had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Spurs), the race has gotten scrambled:

1. Arsenal: 10-4-2 (32 pts) (goal differential of 16)
2. Man City: 9-3-5 (32 pts) (goal differential of 11)
3. Man Utd: 8-0-7 (31 pts) (goal differential of 19) (35 goals scored)
4. Chelsea: 9-4-4 (31 pts) (goal differential of 19) (31 goals scored)
5. Spurs: 7-4-6 (27 pts)
6. Bolton: 6-3-8 (26 pts)

But the race is not as close as it looks because Man Utd has played only 15 games, Arsenal has played only 16 games, and the other teams at the top have all played 17 games. As you can see, therefore, Man Utd or Arsenal could take control of the race with a win today. Kickoff time is 3 PM EST.
