I am simply amazed at what an easy schedule the Falcons have had. At least this week they will have to play the Saints. The rankings below the top two are somewhat scrambled after a wild week, but the pollsters were particularly impressed that the Eagles and Jets pulled out big wins on the road against top 10 teams:
1. New England Patriots (12-2)
2. Atlanta Falcons (12-2)
3. Philadelphia Eagles (10-4)
4. New York Jets (10-4)
5. Baltimore Ravens (10-4)
6. New Orleans Saints (10-4)
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4)
8. Chicago Bears (10-4)
9. New York Giants (9-5)
10. Kansas City Chiefs (9-5)
By the way, 12 of the 32 teams in the NFL have won five games or fewer.
new york can't believe that the giants blew their opportunity to lock in an all-apple east bowl.
ReplyDeleteand pittsburgh fans are apoplectic over the voters' dissing the steelers after sunday's loss. please note, however, that the nfl still has pittsburgh listed ahead of baltimore in the division tiebreaker. hence, ...
Super Bowl XLV: New England-Atlanta
West Bowl: Kansas City-St. Louis
South Bowl: Indianapolis-New Orleans
East Bowl: New York-Philadelphia
North Bowl: Pittsburgh-Chicago
XXXV Bowl: Baltimore-New York
7 Bowl: San Diego-Green Bay (grand marshal of pre-game parade, John Jefferson)
8 Bowl: Jacksonville-Tampa Bay
9 Bowl: Miami-Seattle (grand marshal, Norm Evans)
XI Bowl: Oakland-Minnesota
11 Bowl: Tennessee-Washington
12 Bowl: Houston-Dallas (grand marshals Bum and Wade Phillips)
13 Bowl: Cleveland-San Francisco
14 Bowl: Buffalo-Detroit
15 Bowl: Denver-Arizona
No. 1 Bowl: Cincinnati-Carolina (grand marshal, Helen Berwanger Tierney)
The pollsters were very disappointed in the Steelers. They were at home, the Jets were in disarray -- the Steelers had a chance to really show us something, but they did not.
ReplyDeletei definitely was shocked that pittsburgh lost after how that game was trending after about the first quarter.
ReplyDeleteBUT THAT'S WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES!
