Kentucky 89 - 52 Winthrop (Number 2,032)

I really hate it when UK plays games during the workday. Historically, the Cats have a terrible record when I try to follow them from the office. They also struggle when I listen to them on the radio. So I was unhappy that today's game with Winthrop was scheduled for 1 PM Eastern time.

Fortunately, years of experience have taught me that in such a situation, my best bet is to work through the game until there are only a few minutes left, and then I can check the score. So that's what I did. Imagine my relief when I saw that the Cats had romped home to an 89-52 victory, led by Doron Lamb. Lamb had 32 points -- breaking Jamal Mashburn's record for most points in a game by a UK freshman. He hit seven three's in only eight attempts -- a remarkable performance. As a team, the Cats went 12-24 from trey-land -- they are very hard to beat when they shoot like that.

Thank you to Coach Cal and the Cats for a nice, easy victory.
