Kentucky 13 - 2 Coppin St. (14:10 left in 1st half)

So far, so good. Harrellson looking very active as usual. He already has four points and four rebounds.

Kentucky is ice-cold from the outside -- they've only made 2 of 11 from 3-point range -- but they are playing hard and hitting the boards. They've out-rebounded Coppin State 20-10.

The half ends with a very nice sequence in which Hood makes a three and then Knight and Jones each make very nice 15-foot jump shots. That three for Hood is going to be there all year if he can make it.

It's old home night in Lexington, by the way. The Athletic Director for Coppin State is former UK football great Derrick Ramsey, and he's at the game. He looks great. Larry Conley, a former Rupp's Runt, is doing the color commentary for Fox Sports South -- I still miss hearing Conley on the SEC Game of the Week.

Kentucky has really been on fire in the second half. Lots of pretty passing; lots of good shooting. Lamb has 17 points; Jones has 16; Knight has 15. The Cats are now 7-18 from 3-point range, so they've hit 5 of their last 7.

Ken Pomeroy is really dialed in on UK. He had the Cats winning this game 88-52, and he's going to be almost exactly right. Unfortunately, he has UK losing to U of L 73-71 on Friday.

UK probably will not play another game all year that I will enjoy as much as I enjoyed this one. Hood ended up with a career-high 7 points. In addition to his 3-point shot, he had a dunk(!) and two free throws. A nice, easy win. Now onto the pain.
