Another bad day for England. Australia ended up scoring 309 runs in its second innings, giving them a total of 577. Since England scored only 187 in its first innings, this meant that England needs to score 391 runs in its second innings in order to win the match and take the Ashes. But it soon became clear that this was not going to happen, as England's best batters started to go down pretty quickly. By the end of the day, England had already made 5 of its 10 outs, and they only had 81 runs to show for it. In other words, Australia leads 577-268, and England don't have any really good batters left. So Australia should wrap this up tomorrow.
That will leave the Ashes tied with one win for England, one win for Australia, and one draw -- and two matches left.
