The Ashes, Match 3, Day 2

Well, they've broken for lunch down in Perth, and England are in trouble. You will recall that Australia scored 268 runs in their first innings, which was considered a very reachable total. But so far England have used up 5 of their 10 outs -- meaning that a number of their best hitters are already out -- and they only have 119 runs. Their number 3, 4, and 5 batters combined for only 9 runs before getting out. Now they have their number 6 and 7 guys batting. How long can they hold out? The guys at the bottom are usually not very good, so England really need these guys to make a stand.

Remember, here's where things stand so far:

Match 1 (in Brisbane): Match ended without a winner; this counts as a draw.
Match 2 (in Adelaide): England won 620-549.
Match 3 (in Perth): Australia lead 268-119 in the bottom of the first.

If Australia can win this match, they will still be in good shape to win back the Ashes. If England could win this match, then the best the Aussies could get would be a tie. So the results of the next few days will be critical.
