Album Review: What Separates Me From You by A Day to Remember

What Separates Me From You [+Digital Booklet]This is A Day to Remember's fifth album in five years.  This album has already reached number 11 on the US charts and number 1 on the US Indie chart.  Their last album hit number 1 as well on the US Indie chart.

These guys combine emo and hardcore.  If you like emo and hardcore then I would think you would like this album.  They actually do a pretty good job of combining the two sounds, better than most I've heard.  The key is that their hardcore side is stronger than their emo side and so the balance seems to work.  I mean if you want to do hardcore, then you really need to be able to do hardcore.

That being said I have no interest in this album.  Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.

I could see picking out a few songs to throw on a workout mix.  Or if I wanted to pick an album to introduce someone to emo/hardcore I could see picking this.
