Tennessee 0 - 7 Kentucky (2:59 left in 1st quarter)

I will not be live-blogging this game, because I have refused to watch this game since the early 1990s. I figured why should I ruin my day when the only people who seemed to care about the outcome (besides me) were wearing orange. UT will hire a new coach -- a real coach -- in the off-season, which means that this will be UK's only chance to end its 25-year losing streak to the Vols -- a streak that I consider to be the single most embarrassing statistic in all of college football. Even Vanderbilt has beaten Tennessee since the last time Kentucky beat them. Heck, the last time UK won this game, the Soviet Union was still going strong. Actually, now that I think about it, I hadn't even met Mrs. GoHeath the last time UK won this game, and we've been married for nineteen years.

I will only add this: Don't talk to me about how UK's football team beat Louisville, or how it beat LSU a few years ago, or how it has won a number of bowl games in recent years. In college football, you are supposed to be judged on how you do against your year-end rival. And you don't get to declare that your year-end rival is not actually your "real" rival, and that your "real" rival is an in-state school that plays in the pathetic Big East conference. You want to be taken seriously, UK football? Beat the Vols.
