Well, that was pretty disappointing. City kept playing defense, and United kept attacking, and neither team ever came very close to scoring. The big winners today were Chelsea, who defeated Fulham 1-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table. City fans can take some consolation in the fact that they have opened up a four-point lead over the fifth-place team in the all-important race for next years' Champions' League:
1. Chelsea 9-2-1 (28 points)
2. Man Utd 6-0-6 (24 points)
3. Arsenal 7-3-2 (23 points)
4. Man City 6-3-3 (21 points)
5. Newcastle 5-5-2 (17 points)
