World Series: San Francisco 9 - 0 Texas (San Francisco leads 2-0)

This is not my year for picking the baseball playoffs. I thought the Phillies would beat the Giants; I thought the Yankees would beat the Rangers; and then I thought the Rangers would beat the Giants.

The Rangers looked absolutely atrocious tonight for the second game in a row. They couldn't get any offense going against Matt Cain (who has yet to give up an earned run in over 20 innings of post-season pitching this year), and in the bottom of the 8th -- with the game still in reach at 2-0 -- the Texas bullpen utterly collapsed. The Rangers gave up 7 runs after two men were already out. At one point the Rangers walked four men in a row. They had to use four pitchers just to get out of the inning.

The teams now head back to Texas for game 3 Friday night. No team has come back from being down two games to zero since the Yankees did it to the Braves in 1996. If Texas is going to do it, they are going to have to play much better than they have done so far.
