Ryder Cup -- Saturday (10:35 AM BST)

Fisher (EUR) and Poulter (EUR) are very concerned about going in the water, and push their third shots well beyond the hole. They will have quite lengthy birdie chances. Stricker (who has made the only birdies for his team this morning, places his third shot to within about 10 feet. Tiger hit his third shot about 20 feet and is still well short of the green.

Because of the rain, the afternoon session today will feature six matches instead of the usual four -- meaning that all 12 players on both teams will have to participate. This strikes me as a big deal, because I'm sure Pavin must have been thinking about having Tiger sit out the alternate shot matches. Given that Tiger hits about every third shot about 50 yards to the left, he is going to be a nightmare for his partner in that format.
