NLCS: San Francisco 1 - 0 Philadelphia (end of 1st)
Throughout this series, the Phillies have looked like they were walking in quicksand. They've seemed slow and sluggish, while the Giants zip around the park with vigor. So after the Phillies went down 1-2-3 against Lincecum, the Giants went after Halladay. Andres Torres led off with a walk. Freddy Sanchez singled, and Torres sped around to third. Halladay got the next batter to line out, and then got a weak ground ball from Buster Posey. That grounder was enough for Torres, who zipped across the plate. Halladay got out of the inning without any further damage, but so far it does not look like Philadelphia's day.
