So the Yankees cruised home with a 7-2 victory, and the Rangers were not able to celebrate winning the pennant at Yankee Stadium. On the other hand, the Yankees have lost Mark Teixeira, their slugging first baseman, for the rest of the year. Teixeira pulled a hamstring in Game 4 and is done for the season.

This series will resume Friday night in Arlington.
