ALCS: New York 3 - 0 Texas (end of 2d inning)

Well, that's not how you win the pennant. The Yankees haven't been able to score, but Rangers starter C.J. Wilson helped them with two walks. A single from Jorge Posada made the score 1-0. Curtis Granderson hit another single to right field to make it 2-0. The aged Posada tried to make third -- and should have been out by miles -- but the ball was thrown away. Posada then tried to take advantage of the bad throw by running home. He should have been out again -- but the ball was thrown away again. It looked like how I used to score when I played my kids in the front yard. Meanwhile, Granderson scampered to second.

At that point, of course, the Yankees could have blown the game open. But they really can't hit, even against a guy who is truggling to find the plate, and the next two batters went down easily.

Now it's up to C.C. to make this lead hold up.
