Vuelta a España: Stage 10

Today was one of those weird stages at a grand tour. The day after a rest day and it contained a major climb near the end. Not too near the end, but close enough to make it troublesome if someone was off their form. As it turned out there was no major change in the overall, and a Spaniard took the stage so that was nice. Imanol Erviti took the stage making his move on a tricky descent with about 20k to go, and Joaquin Rodriguez picked up some bonus time in the first sprint to move into the overall lead.  To be honest I find that move a bit cheap, but I guess I understand it.

Tomorrow will be a major day in the overall.  It is a very long stage with only one climb at the end of the day.  It's not a steep climb so there shouldn't but huge time gaps, but we'll see who the real contenders are tomorrow.  If guys like Frank Schleck want to make some noise in this Vuelta expect them tomorrow.  This would also be a good stage for Denis Menchov to go on the attack if he wants to make a shot at getting back into the race.
