What a great, great win for the United States. The Americans jumped out to an early lead, and controlled the game the rest of the way.
Here were the final stats for Durant: 9/13 on 2-point shots, 5/12 on 3-point shots, 5/5 from the line, for a total of 38 points. In the three most important games of the tournament (against Brazil, Russia, and Lithuania) he has averaged 32.7 points per game.
So we are into the finals, where we will play either Turkey or Serbia. Considering that the Serbs were conquered by the Turks during the Middle Ages, and were part of the Ottoman Empire until finally winning their independence in the late 1800s, this should be an interesting game. I'm going to pick the home-team Turks.
