Oh, Kentucky

Fort Thomas Highlands 45, Louisville Eastern 0. Wow. If I was Joker Phillips, I'd be calling together the football coaches from Highlands, Mayfield, Trinity and Saint Xavier, Fort Campbell, maybe a few others and figuring this out together long-term.

Here's an example of the type of story that is going to be a very, very big part of newspapers moving forward.

Kentucky's flags return to half-staff tomorrow.

Russ Cochran is rocking in Cary.

He was credited with having brought country music to FM in Kentucky.

Both Rob Bironas of Louisville Trinity High School and the Tennessee Titans nor David Akers of Lexington Tates Creek, the University of Louisville and the Philadelphia Eagles are perfect on field-goal and extra-point attempts this NFL season. Bironas has made two field goals and five points after touchdown; Akers, two and seven. Akers and the Eagles play Jacksonville today, while Bironas and the Titans face the Giants.
