Oh, Kentucky

"WHY NOT MICAH!"

“The decline in Kentucky's unemployment rate in July 2010 continues to be a result of the decrease in the state’s civilian labor force because people have become discouraged in their job search."

At halftime of tomorrow night's football-season opener against Evansville Reitz, Henderson County will honor its 2010 class of hall-of-fame inductees, including Al J. Feix, who surely must be related to Jimmy Feix.

There's a Coke shortage in Hoptown.

Kentucky's tobacco-free colleges are UK, Pikeville, Bellarmine, Transylvania and, now, Union.

Priorities for Paducah's chamber of commerce include "nuclear energy and re-industrialization of PGDP (Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant); KY Lock and Olmsted Dam funding; and, I-66 & I-69."

Imagining Paducah in Auburn.
