United States 111 - 80 Poland (Final)

As it turns out, Poland wasn't nearly as good as the United States. The U.S. led 29-24 after the first quarter, led 58-41 at the half, and rolled on from there. Poland's inside game had been its strength, but today they were out-rebounded 46-28.

So the United States now holds the Under-17 Championship, the Under-19 Championship, and the Olympic Gold Medal. But, of course, Spain still holds the FIBA World Championship that it won in 2006. But that will be up for grabs in September, giving us the chance for the sweep.

James McAdoo (Bob's nephew), and a UNC recruit, made the all-tournament team. Bradley Beal (a Florida recruit) was the tournament MVP. I'm sure we Kentucky fans will be hating those guys soon enough. But I'm happy they played well today.
